Samut, meaning Ocean in Thai, is a new restaurant in Phuket by the two Thai chef-owners Chatchawan Varahajeerakul (Head Chef) and ThiTid Tassanakajohn (Chef/Owner). They gained experience and mastery of culinary arts at Michelin-star restaurants, Le Du in Bangkok and Jaras at InterContinental Hotel Phuket.

Samut is located in a traditional, Chinese inspired house in Nai Harn with lots of wood and warm tones. With only 4 tables food lovers will appreciate the subdue and luxury ambience while enjoying an outstanding culinary experience.

FOOD
Samut serves exclusively fine Thai cuisine, focusing on local seafood and ingredients. Chef Banky uses only local seafood caught by small, local fishermen along the Thai coastline; no meat is served at Samut. Chef Banky’s aim is to introduce and promote all the amazing Thai seafood to his patrons and also to the world. The restaurant serves a 16 dishes seafood tasting menu, with all dishes meticulously prepared and presented; from the Andaman prawn and Southern fermented fish to the Phuket lobster and squid in banana leaf and the unique Murex snails in Southern curry and betel leaf. With the menu Samut offers some exceptional white and red wines, mainly European.
