Accor to Open Grand Mercure Phu Quoc with Meyland
Grand Mercure Phu Quoc will enjoy a strategic location on Vietnam’s largest island, 11km from Phu Quoc International Airport, which is connected to key cities across Southeast Asia. The resort will offer three restaurants, meeting and event facilities, a wellness centre that features fitness amenities, a spa and a swimming pool. The property will join Accor’s eight properties in Phu Quoc, affirming the group’s position as the leading hotel operator on the island.
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Phu Quoc with the launch of a Grand Mercure resort. Our co-operation with Meyland represents a promising future for Vietnam with major corporations foreseeing continued growth of the hospitality sector and choosing to expand their operations to include hospitality. We are proud to be the first hotel management partner of Meyland and we are confident that the Grand Mercure brand will add substantial value to their hospitality portfolio,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.
