Named after the British Consul General who launched the exclusive Shanghai Club for gentlemen in 1910, Sir Warren Pelham, the intimate high-end restaurant can be found at the exact location on the Bund as the legendary Shanghai Club of the 20th century. The signature modern dining destination, located on the lobby level of the Waldorf Astoria Club, headed by Chef Jean Philippe Dupas and his talented staff serves Classic French and contemporary cuisine with an excellent array of menu choices.

The restaurant features a glass wall that allows diners to look into the glamorous kitchen and see the Chef and his skilled team at work without all the distracting clanks and sizzles. Designed by Hardwood floors in a herringbone pattern broken up by white and black and white mosaics and argyle rugs powered the tranquility of the restaurant.

The service is classic & excellent, without being overly intrusive at any time. Short and precise entertaining explanations of every dish and the pairing wines are top-notch.

FOOD

Pelham features French-influenced modern American fare of multi-course menus such as foie gras (both pan-fried and terrine) with passion fruit, lychee, and almonds, asparagus soup. Australian Wagyu rib-eye steak or the Alaskan king crab; truffles, pan-seared sea bass; risotto, lobster tails etc. For dessert, expect delicacies like a hot chocolate pudding consisting of baked pudding, gingerbread chocolate sorbet, and orange-vanilla sauce. There is a touch of Chinese tradition in the Menu and wine list with all prices quite on the high side.
